Biography of Pastor Chris Hatton

Chris Hatton was born and raised on eastern Long Island, NY. In 1989, at the age of nineteen, he was converted while attending Daytona State College. He was licensed in 1992 and ordained in 1994. He has studied at Davis Bible College, Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, and South Atlantic Theological Seminary (B.R.E., M.Div, and D.Min).

Pastor Chris has served in several Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of America (ARBCA) churches in New York. Grace Reformed Baptist Church of Long Island (Merrick, NY) and Hope Reformed Baptist Church (Medford, NY) commissioned him to plant a Reformed Baptist Church. He began the work in his home and brought it to become duly organized and self supported. He comes to Grace Chapel from a Southern Baptist Founders church in Ormond Beach, FL and can be heard on their website (www.riverbendchurch.com) under “guest and staff sermons”.

Pastor Chris has authored the book, “30 Days to a Biblical Worldview.”

Pastor Chris recently accepted a teaching position at the classical educational Academy for www.Riverbendchurch.com teaching Apologetics.  Pastor Hatton is also the founder and Pastoral Chair for the Florida State Reformation Society.

Pastor Chris is a strong supporter of Nouthetic or Biblical Counseling (NANC). He and his wife Denise homeschool their four children. He has secular work experience owning and operating a Nautilus fitness center, a catering business in NY, and working as a welder.
